Bourbonnais Father Arrested for Child Abandonment

A Bourbonnais couple recently found themselves between a rock and a hard place when their adopted teenager began to act out to the point that the child had to be taken to the hospital for psychological evaluation.  But, Bourbonnais police say when the hospital called the parents saying the teen was ready for release, the couple allegedly refused to pick up the child for what police say was concern for their own safety.   They then left the 13 year old at the hospital for 8 days. Eventually police got involved and after state services refused to provide assistance, authorities say they had no choice but to file charges.  The father was arrested Tuesday for Child abandonment
