Threat Against ONU Averted Thanks to Student

A Student at Olivet Nazarene University may have prevented a tragedy  when they reported to school officials Monday that he had been communicating with a former student with a grudge against the school who was making threats against the university and spoke of taking some kind of action today.  The school called Bourbonnais police who contacted Urbana police where the individual lives and Urbana police located and arrested the former student.   The former student has not yet been identified, but is being detained pending a bond hearing later this week.  There was a heavier than normal police presence on campus today as a precaution.  Bourbonnais police remind you that if you hear of a threat on social media notify somebody in authority. It could save lives.
