Shots Fired in Kankakee Over the Weekend

Shots were fired in Kankakee in the 1600 block of East Maple Street. According to City police they were called to the area about 10:45 Friday night where they found spent shell casings, Several Slugs, and a small pool of blood in a parking lot. Witnesses say a white, Ford Expedition pulled into the lot where somebody stuck his arm out of the sunroof and fired off several rounds into the air before fleeing. Police obtained videotape of the incident and were able to trace the vehicle to a home on South Osborn Ave. in Kankakee where they found the Expedition and a man fitting the description of the gunman. 32 year old Steven J. Allen of Kankakee was arrested on multiple weapon charges.
