Crescent City Man New Coach at Clemson

The Newly named women’s basketball Coach at Clemson University is a native of Crescent City.   Shawn Poppie has been named to take over the team. Poppie spent the last two seasons at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga where he led the lady Mocs to 28 wins this year and the school’s Second Consecutive Southern Conference Championship. IN 2023 Poppie was named the Spalding Maggie Dixon NCAA Division 1 Rookie Coach of the year.
